Othello

Othello – The play follows Othello, a respected Moorish general in the Venetian army, who secretly marries Desdemona, a noblewoman. Othello’s ensign, Iago, is resentful for being passed over for a promotion and plots Othello’s downfall. Iago manipulates Othello into believing that Desdemona is having an affair with Cassio, the promoted officer, using insinuations and a misplaced handkerchief as “proof”.
