A Midsummers Night’s Dream – Hermia, who loves Lysander, is ordered by her father Egeus to marry Demetrius. Hermia and Lysander flee into the nearby forest. Helena, who is in love with Demetrius, tells him of their plan, and Demetrius follows them, with Helena following him. Once in the forest, the fairy Puck, at the command of his master Oberon, attempts to use a love potion to make Demetrius love Helena. Instead, Puck mistakenly puts the potion on Lysander’s eyes, causing him to fall in love with Helena when he wakes. Later, Puck also anoints Demetrius’s eyes, leading both men to pursue Helena and causing a chaotic quarrel between the four lovers.
