The Winter’s Tale

The Winter’s Tale – King Leontes of Sicilia becomes irrationally convinced that his pregnant wife, Hermione, is having an affair with his childhood friend, King Polixenes of Bohemia. Leontes tries to poison Polixenes, but Polixenes escapes with the help of a nobleman, Camillo. Enraged, Leontes imprisons the pregnant Hermione, who gives birth to a daughter in prison.
