Ulysses

Ulysses  – Introduces Leopold Bloom (representing Odysseus), a Jewish advertising canvasser. Bloom’s day involves mundane tasks: preparing breakfast for his wife Molly, attending a funeral, visiting newspaper offices, and wandering the city while knowing his wife is planning to commit adultery with her manager, Blazes Boylan, that afternoon. His journey culminates in a late-night visit to “Nighttown” (Dublin’s red-light district), where he finds and protects a drunken Stephen.
