The Great Gatsby – is a classic 1925 tragedy novel by American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. Set in the Jazz Age on Long Island, it critiques the American Dream through the story of the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his obsessive pursuit of a wealthy, married woman, Daisy Buchanan. The story is narrated by Nick Carraway, a young man from the Midwest who moves to a modest house in West Egg, next door to Gatsby’s mansion.
