Animal Farm

Animal Farm – by George Orwell is a celebrated allegorical novella that critiques the Russian Revolution and the rise of Stalin’s totalitarian regime using the story of a group of rebellious farm animals. The story is set on Manor Farm, owned by the irresponsible and often drunk Mr. Jones. One night, an aging boar named Old Major gathers the animals and shares his dream of a future where animals live free from human tyranny, teaching them the revolutionary song “Beasts of England”. After Old Major dies, two pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, adapt his ideas into a system called Animalism and lead a successful rebellion, renaming the property “Animal Farm”.
