A Midsummer Night’s Dream – The British artist Joseph Mallord William Turner (W. Turner) did not paint a work explicitly titled “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, but his painting Queen Mab’s Cave (exhibited in 1846) is related to the themes and characters from Shakespeare’s play. Lines from William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Turner’s own manuscript poem “Fallacies of Hope” were included in the exhibition catalogue entry for the painting.
