Far from the Madding Crowd – The story follows Bathsheba Everdene, a spirited and independent young woman who inherits her uncle’s large estate in Weatherbury. Her life becomes entangled with three distinct suitors. A humble, loyal, and skilled shepherd. He proposes to Bathsheba early on when he is a farm owner, but she rejects him to maintain her independence. After losing his flock in a tragic accident, he becomes penniless and eventually works for Bathsheba as her most trusted shepherd and bailiff.
