Grandparents’ Bag of Stories

Grandparents Bag of Stories – is a collection of tales by the acclaimed Indian author Sudha Murty, set during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in India. The book is a sequel to her popular Grandma’s Bag of Stories. The story begins with children from Mumbai and Bangalore arriving at their grandparents’ spacious home in the village of Shiggaon to escape the nationwide lockdown. The grandparents, Ajja and Ajji (grandfather and grandmother in Kannada), along with Kamlu Ajji, keep the children engaged by sharing household chores, such as stitching masks and preparing food for workers, and by telling them a myriad of captivating and timeless stories.
