Lord Jim

Lord Jim  – Jim, a young British seaman with heroic ideals, serves as first mate on the Patna, carrying 800 pilgrims. When the ship strikes an object and appears to be sinking, Jim—in a moment of panic—leaps into a lifeboat with the cowardly crew, abandoning the passengers. The ship does not sink and is later rescued, exposing the crew’s desertion.
