Man and Superman

Man and Superman – Following the death of Mr. Whitefield, his daughter Ann Whitefield is left under the co-guardianship of Roebuck Ramsden, a conservative Victorian traditionalist, and John “Jack” Tanner, a wealthy, eloquent socialist and confirmed bachelor. Tanner, who views Ann as a manipulative “boa constrictor,” realizes she intends to marry him. He flees to Spain to escape her, but is captured by a band of brigands led by the anarchist Mendoza.
