Mrs Dalloway

Mrs Dalloway –  The novel is experimental in form, primarily using the stream-of-consciousness technique to explore the inner lives of its characters. The central events revolve around Clarissa’s preparations for a high-society party she is hosting that evening. The narrative interweaves Clarissa’s story with that of Septimus Warren Smith, a mentally damaged war veteran suffering from shell shock (PTSD), who acts as a tragic foil to Clarissa’s societal life.
