Naga – Mandala

Naga – Mandala – Rani is a young bride married to Appanna, who neglects and mistreats her. He locks her in the house during the day while he visits his concubine and returns only to eat and sleep. To win her husband’s affection, Rani obtains a magical root from an old blind woman, Kurudavva. Terrified by the potion’s blood-red appearance after boiling, she pours it onto a nearby anthill.
