One Arranged Murder

One Arranged Murder – is a mystery thriller novel by the Indian author Chetan Bhagat, which follows two amateur detectives as they investigate the murder of a bride-to-be in a seemingly perfect Punjabi joint family. It is the second book featuring the protagonists Keshav and Saurabh, following The Girl in Room 105. The story revolves around the death of Prerna Malhotra, who is engaged to Saurabh Maheshwari through an arranged marriage setup that quickly develops into a loving relationship. On the night of Karva Chauth, Prerna keeps a fast for Saurabh and waits for him on the terrace of her three-story house to break it. Saurabh arrives excitedly, but when he reaches the terrace, Prerna is missing; she is found dead on the road below, an apparent fall from the terrace. The police initially rule it an accident, but Saurabh and his best friend/colleague/flatmate Keshav, who run a small detective agency called Z Detectives, decide to investigate further.
