Sri Ramanuja Melukote & Srivaishnavism – Life must continue. And continue towards perfection, through progress, evolution, through self-initiative. That is the craving of the Upanishadic seers and countless sages on the scene of ever-evolving Hinduism. that is the message of well- meaning reformers that have cleansed it of its impurities from time to time. The teachings of Ramanuja have eternal relevance to all humanity from this angle. We do not need philosophers to frighten us to hell for all eternity. Without hope, philosophy is meaningless. That hope must not be any empty or cheap assertion but a product of rational thought and the culmination of human yearning, properlt interpreted and lead do that. Frustration is its enemy.
