The Diary of A Young Girl  – In July 1942, Anne’s family moved into the “Secret Annex,” a series of hidden rooms behind a revolving bookcase in her father’s office building in Amsterdam. Anne, her parents (Otto and Edith), her sister (Margot), the van Pels family (Hermann, Auguste, and Peter), and a dentist (Fritz Pfeffer) lived in cramped conditions. They had to remain completely silent during the day to avoid discovery by workers downstairs.
