The Man – Eater of Malgudi

The Man – Eater of Malgudi – Along with Sastri (the assistant) and a monosyllabic poet, Sen forms part of Nataraj’s inner social circle. They represent the traditional, gentle, and community-oriented life of the town. Sen assists Nataraj in organizing the festival for the temple elephant, Kumar. When Vasu threatens to shoot the elephant, Sen and the group attempt to stop him, though they are ultimately powerless against Vasu’s brute strength.
