The Mill on The Floss

The Mill on The Floss – The story follows siblings Maggie and Tom Tulliver at Dorlcote Mill. Maggie is intelligent and imaginative but often faces criticism for her “wild” nature, while Tom is rigid and focused on duty. Their father, Mr. Tulliver, enters a disastrous legal battle over water rights with his neighbor and lawyer, Mr. Wakem. He loses the mill and his home, forcing Tom to leave school and work to repay the family debt.
