The Old Man and the Sea

The Old Man and the Sea – The story follows Santiago, an aging Cuban fisherman who has gone 84 days without catching a fish. Determined to break his streak of “bad luck,” he sails his skiff far into the Gulf Stream. Santiago eventually kills the marlin, but as he sails home, the scent of blood attracts sharks. Despite his desperate attempts to defend his catch, the sharks devour the marlin, leaving only its skeleton by the time he reaches shore.
