To The Lighthouse

To The Lighthouse – The Ramsay family is at their summer home on the Isle of Skye in the Hebrides. Six-year-old James Ramsay wants to visit the Lighthouse. Mrs. Ramsay encourages him, but Mr. Ramsay coldly insists the weather will be poor, creating immediate domestic tension. The house falls into decay while the family is away. It is revealed through brief parenthetical notes that Mrs. Ramsay has died, Andrew was killed in WWI, and Prue died in childbirth.
