Tom Jones

Tom Jones – The story begins when the wealthy and virtuous Squire Allworthy finds an abandoned baby in his bed at his Somerset estate. He decides to raise the child, naming him Tom Jones. The village suspects a local girl named Jenny Jones is the mother, and she is banished after “confessing”. Tom falls deeply in love with Sophia Western, the beautiful daughter of a neighboring squire. However, Squire Western and Allworthy oppose the match because of Tom’s low social status. Due to a series of misunderstandings and Blifil’s manipulation, Allworthy banishes Tom from the estate.
